Thursday Haiku with a tip of the hat to Jemima Pett

Jemima Pett pens lovely haikus on her blog, and I started writing some to send back to her.

This one is spontaneous, in response to this:

Thank you! I just read in the newspaper yesterday that a Roma town was leveled without warning by the Romanian government, with the usual reasons of garbage, vermin, etc. But I didn’t see any of that in pictures taken of the place before it was leveled.

Pretty awful. If it was leveled must’ve been bad, but still …

Good Haiku for the photograph. Haikus weren’t a form of expression I had thought of using prior to blogging but find they say just what you want to say without saying too much. A good pairing with photographs.

Now THAT is a beautiful haiku! Goes perfectly with the sound, smell, colour, warmth…
I think haikus are addictive.
