Here’s a little something from Chapter 1.
Darkness was just starting to settle on the crime scene, and some spotlights had been brought in so the firemen could see to cut through the wreckage of the station wagon. It was as close to a scene from hell as I could imagine. The lights bathed everything and everyone in a ghastly brightness, illuminating every crack, crevice and wrinkle.
Coming soon…
Great! 🙂
Thanks, Bette. I’m trying to pick interesting segments without giving much away! Not so easy…
Great beginning to get my curiosity up.
What a tease you are! 😀
I try!
Nice sensory set up, Noelle. I like the glaring lights!
Thanks, Diana. It’s hard to find good snippets from a chapter without giving the plot away!
Well, you’re finding some great ones. 🙂
Oooh it just draws you in! 🙂
Thanks, Lucy. Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel with Finnegan’s?
Absolutely! Only about another 100 pages to go. It is sort of coming together, in as much as it ever can, but a few people have died (again) so I can’t wait to see who is left standing at the end!
I’m hopeless at picking good excerpts!!!!
Thanks for the tweet, Terry. Yup, getting an excerpt that doesn’t give the plot away can be a dragon. Would you consider reviewing this for me?
Can’t wait to read this one:) Stop teasing!
Ah, then I am accomplishing my goal. Out soon!
I thought I’d missed publication day. Can’t wait to read the next Rhe Brewster book.
Thanks, Liz! It should be out on Kindle next week. Charles Yallowitz is doing a shout out for me.
