Well, I did it. I sold every single one of my books! Of course I had to send Hubs to film the pumpkin drop (onto a pink car), but the books are gone.
Here are some photos of the pumpkins – some of them you saw half completed in the previous post.
Here’s a couple of views of a father and son carving an octopus and a sea turtle on one pumpkin!
Miss Piggy!
There was a matruska doll.
This peacock was next to my table.
A crab!
We had dinner at a restaurant in East Boothbay. There was a full moon rising over the water – beautiful. Every one had the two lobster dinner, but I opted for nage, a wondrous mix of lobster, scallops, clams and mussels in a creamy lobster sauce. Yum!
Those pumpkins are amazing! And fabulous news that you sold all the books, big congrats.
Aren’t they great! So creative!
Congratulations, what a fun weekend.
Thanks, Rosie. I think I sold around 80!
Congratulations 👏👏 and those pumpkins look great!
Really creative and a lot of fun! I missed the one painted gold with a hug gray goose sitting on top of it!
What a fun day!
Absolutely, but I was exhausted at the end!
I’m envious of pumpkin art. Fab. And great about the books
Thanks, Geoffle. The members of my Sisters in Crime group call me the Book Whisperer,
Ha! Love that. Conjours up images of you making out of control books clam down and stop flapping their pages
I actually had to do that the second day, when the wind and rain picked up and my books were flapping around!
Amazing! Glad you had a great day 🙂
Selling books is exhausting, though. You talk literally all day!
Well done for selling all your books. I love those pumpkin sculptures just brilliant. That meal looked just wow!! 💜
Every trip to Maine is fun fun. Good food, fabulous views and this time lovely fall foliage colors,.
I must keep that in mind!? 🤗💜
Congrats on selling all of your books. That’s awesome.
Adn the festival sounds positively spectacular. I’m besotted with pumpkins 🙂
I think I may have sold 80 or so. Of course I pay some of the price to Sherman’s. an independent books store that carries my books. I’ll maybe post a bit more about that later, with yet another pumpkin carving!
That’s fantastic, even with the price share. Way to go!!!!
Awesome all around! 🙂 xo
Thanks, Bette!
Hello 🙂
Found your blog through Suzie’s M&G party 🙂 I visited Damariscotta about 20 years ago. One of my friends used to live there and I had such a great time there. Thanks for sharing this… reminded me of many many good souvenirs 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Cyranny! Glad you enjoyed the post. I’ll give you a visit, too. We plan to go back next year – what a great time and place to sell books!
I still remember buying a bumper sticker for my dad there…. It said “Bumpah stickah for tha cah” and it still makes me crack up to this day 😉
(sorry, my memory is fond of little things lol)
That’s a hysterical bumper sticker. Gotta remember that one!
