Well, I am still suffering from the cruddy cold, and now one of my eyes is infected, so I look a bloody mess. On top of that, our leaves have refused to turn green and some of our other plants (azaleas etc) are blooming.
The only things that show any indication of fall coming are the dogwood trees, which are burnished with lots of red berries. But normally this is how they are in mid-September!
I love October and autumn, but I’m missing it! Oh well, the pool is still open and I’m enjoying swimming, when not down with the cruds!
Oh I am so sorry to hear you are not well! I do hope you feel better soon. Sending many hugs across the ocean for you 🙂
Hugs are just what I need!
I shall send an extra huge bunch of them!
Huge hugs back!
The bugs going round this year are awful. Sinus infection here. We had the first almost-frost this morning…a wet tennis ball just starting to freeze but not quite. The trees are just starting to lose summer’s colour…but there are berries everywhere. Hope you feel better soon x
Thanks, Sue. Give the irrepressible Ani and roughing for me!
Will do, Noelle 🙂
Hope you feel better soon, Noelle. Hopefully on time for a little autumn beauty. 😀
Thank you – I know it will come!
Get better soon Nia.
xxx Sending Massive Hugs xxx
Thank you, Sir David. Much appreciated!
Hugs from me too – I hope you feel better soon. I noticed the first signs of Autumn yesterday, when I was out walking Tink and stopped to marvel at some yellow trees that were green only a few days ago. (He prefers the droppings on the ground, however.)
xx,
mgh

When it comes it will probably come fast!
Almost overnight, it seems. I hope it lingers a bit this year. xx, mgh
Feel better and enjoy the extended summer season! Blessings & hugs ~ Bette
Thanks, Bette. It means I can swim longer – if I ever get rid of the cold!
Well crud for sure! And I’m sure you meant to say turn “from” green as those leaves look mighty green to me! Just keep resting and get better!!! xoxo
The cold has destroyed my brain!
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Noelle.
I’ll send Autumn your way. She’s already made her appearance here in Wales. We’ve had over a week of lovely sunny days, and chilly nights. Many of the trees are already displaying wonderful colours. My favourite time of the year.
Mine, too! October is my favorite month, and I’m upset that I’m spending so much of it sleeping!
Get better and then autumn will arrive. 🙂 I hope it’s a nice, long, colorful autumn. Or, you can sit outside with some apple cider and pumpkin muffins and pretend.
I’ve already made my first loaf of pumpkin spice bread, Sarah. The days are cool and sunny but the trees aren’t listening!
Come over here immediately, it’s in full swing!
Wish I could! We have the chilly nights and cooler days – but no leaf color. This is the oddest autumn!
