Pumpkin Festival in Damariscotta, Maine

We spent last weekend in Maine, so I could sell books at Sherman’s book store during the Pumpkin Festival. Ten thousand people there the first day, and I sold two cartons of books, maybe 50 or 60 in all. A great selling day!

Not to mention the carved pumpkins. Here are a few of my favorites!

And of course, we ate lobster: lobster rolls, twin whole lobsters, lobster nachos, lobster ravioli, you name it. The last night I had fish!

And lastly, great leaf color!

  1. Wow to all of this, Noelle! Congratulations on a great book sale. And those are some impressive pumpkin carvings! Happy Fall – I wish it would get a little cooler here.

  2. It sounds like a wonderful time. You kicked but with the book sale and the pumpkins are amazing! I would love to dine on Maine lobster. Hubby and I are planning a trip to Maine next fall. Still undecided what part of the state but it would be cool to coordinate it with a book/pumpkin festival!

    1. Check out the dates for the Damariscotta Pumpkin Festival next year, MC! You can take a nice ride along the coast, eat lobsster, scaloops and oyssters- the oysters are fabulous. I might see you there!
