This is the catchall title I use in emails to my friends when nothing much is happening, but I’m overwhelmed with work. What I am up to:
Trying to read at least half of the wonderful posts I get each day from fellow bloggers (I get well over 200 a day – I know, I can’t help myself) and send a reply.
Doing the editing of my fourth book for my beta readers, trying but failing to keeping my nose to the grindstone.
Posting at least once a week about a stop in our vacation all over Europe. Two to go…
Reading books for Rosie Amber and posting my reviews
Beta reading a book for a friend
Doing some work on an online anatomy program (mine, actually) for Elsevier. The program won first place for a digital teaching program from the British Medical Society last year, so I am invested.
Critiquing contributions from members of the two groups to which I belong.
Lastly, working hard not to go nuts!
PS
For all the Blogger’s Bash attendees, my short story Connection was accepted by the Bella Online Literary Review!

Congratulations, Noelle, on all counts!
Mind, if you find out how not to go nuts with all that on your plate, do let me know
I used to tell my students when they asked me how I balanced my career ,home and family that I never had more than one ball in the air at a time. Now I have two!
Fabulous re your short story acceptance.
Enjoy your work load.
Thanks, Rosie. The book reading keeps me sane.
Congrats, Noelle! But just reading about what’s on your plate is enough to send me – finally and maybe forever – to BED! Ditto Sue’s comment – inquiring minds NEED to know.

Mmm, I never have all the balls in the air at one time?
Yeah – only the top 20 or so, right?

Reblogged this on anita dawes and jaye marie.
Thanks, and I am enjoying it. I will have a couple of things off my plate by December. Uh oh – just in time for the holidays!
It all sounds very familiar, but are you enjoying yourself?
Thank you!
Don’t overdo it, and enjoy your successes!
My husband says I can’t say no – it’s been that way for years. But I am enjoying the ride.
Ooooh! Congratulations!!!!
Thanks, Victo!
Goodness! You need a day out at my favourite place in the world – Chimney Rock!
Actually, we’re going to Maine in October, but plan to do a weekend in the mountains soon!
My list is different but I feel the same way: getting 2 kids off to college, work, helping my dad publish another book, keeping our house in order, etc. etc. etc. I know it will all get done, but there are so many disruptions!
Tell me about it! This week Hunbs came down with labrynthitis and I’ve had to stop nearly everything to help him out! I’m writing in the car during his appointments.
Wonderful to hear the news about ‘Connection’, Noelle. I knew we had a winner when I read the story.
Keep calm and carry on.
Thanks, Hugh. Couldn’t let a Blogger’s Bash Award get wasted!
You are crazy busy!!!! Oh my. I hope you’re taking care of yourself too. <3
Trying to! My husband has not been well, so that’s been a worry, too. And now we are sitting here angsting over Hurricane Irma. Falls along the east coast are always iffy.
Health and safety first, Noelle. In the long run, the rest just isn’t as important. I hope that hurricane runs out of steam fast. <3
I don’t know how on earth you manage to do all that AND have a life! You are amazing! And congratulations on your story being published… fantastic news!
I’m not sure how I do it either – maybe it comes from raising kids, minding Hubs, and having a career? Multitasking is the name of the game, but I am going to be happy when I have a couple of things off my plate! There are many days when I wonder how it would have been if I had been a stay at home mother….
Well… as long as you are happy, and you find the time to put your feet up and enjoy a glass of wine now and again.
Congratulations, Noelle! It gets scary when we count ‘the ways’ we’re busy. All your projects are fascinating and well-worth the time and effort, for sure. Be well and keep going!! (We don’t notice we’re tired until we stop).
